Prince of Wales Drive is a residential development in Battersea, Central London neighbouring the old listed building of Battersea Power Station and only minutes away from Battersea Park and the River Thames. The six contemporary apartment buildings are grouped around wonderfully landscaped gardens which offer diverse spaces to the residents including a central courtyard with water features to convene, sit and relax. A great variety of planting including perennials, shrubs, lawn and trees of different sizes combined with walkways required the use of intensive and semi-intensive green roof systems as the land-scaped gardens are situated on a podium deck. Build-ups with Floradrain® FD 25-E and FD 60 neo as well as Stabilodrain® SD 30 were installed under the soft and hard landscaping to meet the different requirements of water drainage and retention. Roof garden substrate was used to perfectly suit the planting scheme.
