The “White Horse Inn” is gloriously situated on the marshland coastline of North Norfolk at Brancaster Staithe, an area of outstanding natural beauty with breathtaking panoramic views across tidal marshes and endless sandy beaches . Next to the main building eight garden rooms were built into the natural contours of the land and architecturally designed with grass and sedum roofing blending in with the marshland beyond. To protect the rootproof waterproofing, the ZinCo protection mat SSM 45 was installed as a base layer of the green roof built-up. The two in one drainage element Floradrain® FD 25-RV provided in rolls with filter sheet attached was laid on top. A special blend of sedum substrate was applied to ensure optimum conditions for the plants selected. The installation of vegetation mats allowed for a quick ground covering.
